The Food

The Occasions

The park has a cafe on site offering hot dishes, sandwiches and a series of snacks. They also serve a wonderful option of Fair Trade teas (Sir George was known for his love of tea!). In the winter months you can experience the Enlightened route, which is readied to be larger and brighter than ever this year.
The Facilities
Staunton Cattle Ranch State Park is Colorado’s newest State Park and opened in 2013 offering 18 miles of hiking tracks and a selection of other recreational activities. The park sits south of Black Hill in an area of ache woodlands, aspen groves, open meadows and granite high cliffs. The site was once a 1,720-acre ranch owned by Drs. Archibald and Rachel Staunton who homesteaded the land beginning in the turn of the 20th century. The family operated a ranch and a turn-of-the-century saw mill on the building and held summer season camps for children.
